Happy New Year and Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration week!

19 Days into the New Year, and where have I been:
So sorry for my delay in blogs, after having a splendid holiday season, we got off and running toward our kindergarten count down! And Yes, we ordered my son’s diploma and graduation cap and gown . How about our blog parents, home school parents, and our preschool parents – have you or your school ordered yet? Great sales abound for delivery during the month of March, so remember not to wait until the May rush.
We thank everyone so very much for sharing all of your holiday e-cards, and pictures with us, I never stopped reading, and catching up on most of my e-mails. We are happy to know that we’re not alone, and that life after the holidays is pretty much all about kindergarten for several of my blog parents as well. In addition there are a lot of mixed reviews regarding public schools meeting the demands of Pre-K. Thanks for filling me in.

In honor of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we glady share and recomemend our reading list: Two books that we were delighted in, are one of my favorites: Emir’s Education in the Proper Use of Magical Powers, by well known American author Jane Roberts. In this novel, young Prince Emir must discover the answers to some of life’s most perplexing questions. In this lovely fairy tale, Jane Roberts reminds spirits young and old to honor the cycle of life, the seasons, and world diversity.

Which moves me to the next charming book that I recommend, which is titled: If the World were a Village – by David J. Smith. This wonderful novel is about the global village in which we live, including such demographics as languages spoken and religious practices. These books are a great way to introduce your child to the world around them in a morally uplifting way! Enjoy, and remember, keep practicing your new language skills alongside your pre-kindergartner! bwrightparents
